Farewell, I benci farewell

Today (Friday 18 July 2008) is the farewell of my colleague, Sandra... Not just any Hi-Bye colleague but someone who went through ups and downs together, crazy wacky fun times, share, heart talks, click almost like immediately, just someone who you would call,  f r i e n d  in the workplace! It hasn't been easy to find a person whom I can call friend in my workplace and someone whom I can be myself with. By knowing her, it has been a blessing and having her around has changed my day-to-day office life  And now having to say Bye

When I first came to my office, not many fresh grads or peers like me, mostly are seniors and they're extremely busy. So eventhough they notice you're new, they aren't very friendly. So when I first noticed her, a newbie colleague, I took the opportunity to say Hi to her since nobody really gonna 'care' bout us newbies so I thought we shall befriend one another! We were in 2 different dept, but 6 months later, we became teammates in the same dept (Later I join the dept that she is already in). Then there are more fresh grads/newbies that came into the company and we befriend them and now we have a GANG  Slowly, it's not just the 2 of us who have this 'mission' but the rest of them in the GANG too have this 'mission', whenever there's a newbie in the dept, we intro them to the GANG, but it's up to them wanna remain in this gang or not lar... Some chose not to, coz they wanna be closer with their deptmates/teammates while we're very inter-dept/teams  After almost 1 and a half years, we're no longer considered as newbie but till today we are still practicing it and still recruiting  One of my colleague said, Let the GANG grow! hehe  And I feel like we started a 'tradition' thing of self-declared seniors & juniors, coz now we will joke with the newbies bout how we too were at their position before, now we 'graduate' liao become their senior now and we can 'bully' them and all haha

pantry mate, lunch mate, chat mate, lepak mate, crazy wacko silly etc

Took the opportunity to say our Bye, appreciations & concerns 

Her last day is as if it's mine~
When a staff resigns, on his/her last day, the staff need to go to each dept to get sign off
and lastly, return the laptop and other stuff that belongs to the company.
So I went around with her, getting signatures~
and helping her take photos~ 
Oh well, at least now I know what to do on my last day 

We plan out a farewell dinner at Yuen Steamboat @ Sunway~
This place is known to be packed 24/7 forever!
Good thing we managed to find a table on a Friday night

Towards the end of the dinner, when she gotta say Bye to some who is leaving,
tears just kept flowing  To cheer things up a lil bit, we went to play pool to delay saying Bye.

But look at the bright side, I'm happy for her new job!
