Work Trip to Korea (Day 6)

Day 6 - Friday, 11 July 2008

It's time to go home~!

Only 1 place I didn't get to go, that is - Lotte World!!! It's the largest indoor theme park in the world rank and outdoor amusement park in Seoul. I wanted to go on the last night but because of the Byebye dinner so didn't get to go liao~ Oh well, IF ever I go Korea again, that would be my destination!  To be honest, as much as I love to travel, Korea was never in my To-Go-Destination list... Don't know why~  So I thank God I got the opportunity to see this country eventhough I don't plan to~ And what more with expenses all paid for  but for WORK lar~

If you ask me what I learn most from this trip?

It would be working with people of different culture and presentation skills!

I have to say, language was a barrier in terms of communication between me and my Korean colleagues. When I see them trying to ask me a question, they had to think so hard to come out with the words and I see them struggle to explain to me what they don't understand, I feel frust...  Not frust because they're not so good in English, but frust because I can't understand better or communicate better with them  It's like what people say 'Duck and chicken talk'... And on my part, I also struggle to explain to them, to help them understand... I gotta learn to change my words (a test to my vocabs) or give simpler explanation and LOTSA PATIENCE! And because of that, my presentation skills gotta be more flexible... I can't be too rigid and read from text only or too technical terms~ Sometimes to help each other understand, we use internet/handphone English-Korean or Korean-English dictionary heehee  They're seriously nice people, I would never get angry or frust with them. Just that I wish I could communicate better with them and help them understand better  Oh they even taught me to write Korean words in ABC! I can write my name in Korean now hehe

I've always like to work with people from different culture and language. So I've been really blessed through this experience and God has been so good to me through the little little things like waking up in the morning hehe  and keeping me safe through those lone ranger adventures and walks

A red bridge between Seoul and Incheon~

Incheon International Airport~

Steady seller OR Best seller? Hmmm

Cool or not the police?

The pharmacy reminds me of those chinese pharmacy back in KL

The weather is cloudy. Like the time I reached!~

Tata, Seoul~!!!
